The Hand Drawn Map Association

The HDMA is ‘an ongoing archive of maps and other interesting diagrams drawn by hand’. These little gems are found or made by people all over the world and are often surprisingly beautiful. From the simple ‘here to there’ applications, to intricate ‘mind maps’ they tell a story of where strangers have been and where they might be going.

Princeton Architectural Press is currently running a contest to generate content for a hand drawn map book. You can contribute to the site or enter the contest here.
